The process to change your car to classic plates takes some time but there are cost savings for you. Your vehicle needs to be at least 30 years old and able to be registered in NSW. Vehicles on classic plates can be driven up to 60 days each year plus on club trips.
Completing all requirements for Classic
Registration is responsibility of member.
Compliance with Classic Registration is responsibility of member.
When members attend a club trip they need to be registered on trip on club website and be able to prove such instead of using log book for that trip.
Our Club - Subaru & Recreational 4WD Club INC is affiliated with Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT INC, (4WD NSW & ACT), our association.
Our association is affiliated with Australian Confederation of Motor Clubs (ACMC).
The ACMA is an approved organisation with RMS in the Classic Vehicle Scheme (CVS).
Therefore, a member of our club with a suitable vehicle is able to register it under CVS.

Historic Registration is another scheme with RMS, but our club is not a part of that scheme.
